Leadership in Student Council

During my time at the eight-year Gymnázium Pardubice Dašická, I began actively contributing to school activities in April 2018 by assisting with the school's Facebook and various small tasks such as the open days. My involvement deepened significantly by September 2018 when, as class president, I started providing feedback to the student council president and actively participated in initiatives aimed at improving the school environment and the council's agenda.

On October 3, 2018, when I learned that the "Milk in Schools" project would not continue, I initiated a plan to reintroduce it. On January 17, 2019, I received an offer from the student council president to join the gym and garden renovation project, which I accepted with great enthusiasm. This led to my election as president of the student council in January 2019, alongside my colleague Matěj. From then, I served as the main president of the student parliament, repeatedly being chosen to keep the position, and was deeply involved in all council activities. In December 2021, after 3 years of serving in this position, I organized new elections and began handing over all documentation and financial responsibilities to prepare for my final maturita exams.

Enhancing school environment and initiatives

As president, I spearheaded several significant projects, such as enhancing the school garden by creating a relaxation area with benches and tables, establishing a recording studio for the school choir, and supporting the Aqua-reactor project—an innovative greenhouse prototype on school grounds. These projects received partial funding from the school and substantial grants from Opatovická Power Plant through a competition we attended and won several times. I also prepared extensive documentation and visualizations with other students for a new study room and gym renovation, which I wasn't in the end able to finish in my term at school.

Major events

My role extended beyond the council to organizing major school events, including the morning part of school’s 111th anniversary, where I arranged bands, sponsors, and photographers and set up sports and food stations. I also co-organized the Christmas academy, overseeing sound and preparations, and took over the school merchandise, redesigning it and managing orders after winning a design contest.

Digital engagement

I co-founded and managed the school’s Instagram, filling it with content that documented school events and created strategy for how students can participate too. Within a year and a half, the account grew to over 1300 followers. I also proposed a new, user-friendly website design. Though my proposal was not fully accepted, the necessary changes were implemented, achieving my goal of improving the school's online presence.

Classroom Leadership

In the classroom, I was continuously active, organizing hops harvesting trip, countless river rafting trips, co-organizing the graduation ball, and managing several class parties. My involvement in these activities showcased my commitment to enhancing both the educational and social environment of our school and gained me immense experience in quite early stage of my life.

Competition achievements

In addition to my leadership roles and initiatives at school, I have also gained notable recognition in various competitions. I placed among the top five at the 2017 international RoboRAVE competition and advanced to the regional round of the Amavet Festival of Science and Technology. I secured first place in the Cemach competition and third place with my teammates in the dTest magazine competition. Along with my class team, I competed in four seasons of the Physics Competitions Neuron, Rojko, Polaris, and Newton, and earned fourth place in the 2017 Bobřík informatiky. Additionally, I achieved third place in Office Arena 2020, participated twice in the European Youth Parliament’s Regional Selection Conference, and was awarded as one of the top students in the "Student of the Year 2020/2021". These achievements across diverse fields highlight my broad interests and capabilities.
